Overview and benefits 


Lemongrass essential oil is extracted from the lemongrass plant, which is yielded in tropical and subtropical parts of the world. People have been using lemongrass in traditional medicine for pain relief, stomach problems, and fevers. Its antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and antifungal properties may also give it other benefits. Some folks use it as a way to calm down. It’s an ecstatic addition to aromatherapy, mindfulness, and yoga practices. There’s also a possibility that it can increase the anti-stress benefits of massage therapy.


Extract method or part of the plant used and origin 

Pulled out from the leaves and stalks of the lemongrass plant, lemongrass oil has an impactful, citrus scent. The oil can be bright or pale yellow with a thin consistency with a lemony scent. It's often found in soaps and other personal care products. It's been used by healthcare providers to treat digestive problems and high blood pressure.

Fragrance and notes 


Lemongrass (Cymbopogon, Citronella) has a fresh citrus, sharp lemon-like scent with a touch of exotic ginger. The fragrance note is definitely an earthy and grassy undertone.


  • Storage and safety

     Lemongrass essential oil must be stored in a cool dry place, away from light. Always do a patch test before applying directly to the skin.
